I'm going to try studying up on the information I can get for free on places like the National Genalogical Society and see if I can get my brain to concentrate enough to consider paying money to go further

Also, if I decide to go for it, I also should explore studying the history of places that I'd like to become an "expert" on. Probably good to start with Ohio where I was born and raised and New Jersey where I'm at now and also where I found out that I have a lot of early settlers
