If you need more mob backing, the friend I have been telling you about is Bronx Italian-American and has a very similar last name to one of the Genovese family capos. My friend's nickname at the library was "Vinnie da Bulldog" because of how persistent he was tracking down missing books, but sounds like a hit man doesn't it? If he were feeling up to it he would call the troublemakers and "go Bronx on their asses". He is pretty good at it and falls back into the Bronx accent easily.
