Sigh of relief here

Dad's already back! He told me he was going for a walk and he got hit with chest pain and the folks at the facility spotted him and sent him to get checked. I don't know if I'll get details from anyone but it sounds like a bout of angina. Also, I was off on the days of the activities where I thought he'd miss something and it's tomorrow that one of the nurses is bringing in her kitty for a visit. We didn't grow up with pets but he liked my kitties when he met them years ago so I hope some furry therapy helps him tomorrow.

BIG sigh of relief! Glad to hear that the facility is on top of these things - and that it wasn't anything huge!

Good that the home is alert and taking appropriate action. Maybe he can get a little purr therapy from the kitty: they are finding that purring has a healing effect on humans.

I wouldn't worry too much about not knowing his birthday when he was already having pain. When I had my annual Medicare check, I got my age wrong on the senility quiz. Then when asked who the President before Biden was I said, "The fat orange crook." CRNP laughed but, said she needed his name for me to pass the test.

I've been absolutely *convinced* that I was the wrong age for a whole year...multiple years in my life.
In my early 20s, I think I was 23 for 2 years. And the last few years I have to do the math every time :)
