Nostalgia ho!

1977 Charles Kuralt report about the creator of shopping carts

You don't really see those tall ones in the grocery store much, do you? In some of the old groceries maybe. Those seem handier to me since I could actually lean over and reach the stuff in the cart instead of having to position myself in front of the cart at the checkout.

Good ol' Charles Kuralt. I miss that man like crazy!

We have some of the 2 tier ones at Kroger and now at some other stores I've noticed. They're easier to reach things and I'm short enough the reg. carts mean bending over farther than I want to do. Some of the newer cars are higher I had noticed but had not thought of design. Interesting story behind them!
