Short PSA

Don't belittle people's fears - fear of what may happen to themselves and the fear for the people they know and love. It's unconscionably rude.

A black gal that I used to work with that is a friend on FB is truly scared for her little three year old twins and the world they're going to be faced with now that Trump and his ilk didn't condemn the support of KKK and other white supremacists. I feel so horribly for her since her fears are so real and everyday to her and are now worse.

That ex-friend continues to get worse and worse on FB and also thinks he has the moral high ground because he's Catholic. He posted a video glorifying running over BLM protestors with cars, says he now "hates liberals" and follows the far-right fringe. Even when Trump won, he kept up his nasty vitriol for the people that still list him as friends. Although he won't likely see what I posted on FB since I unfriended him there, I felt compelled to post this:

That's truly despicable.

I understand the fears. I fear for myself, but I can't imagine how bad it would be for a minority whether it's black, Hispanic, Muslim, or gay. They're not target and these hateful bozos now feel supported in their hatred.

It's a scary time, indeed.
