Forgot to post yesterday or well, do anything but it was a big day - MENOPAUSE DAY! One full year and so it's official! Hopefully as the hormones continue to drop, the fibroid(s) will shrink a little before I get things yoinked out. Fingers crossed.

I cleaned out one shelf of my linen closet and tossed out a ton of stuff that was expired. But then I also gathered most all of the pads that I had randomly stored and I brought them to work and put them in the basement bathroom. There were only five lonely tampons sitting in the basket and the bathroom gets used by students who visit the academic offices upstairs. The basket is now nicely full.

Now my pads at home are more of the ones for bladder issues. lol

I wear one of the thin liners daily. You never know when a sneeze or a coughing fit will have unintended consequences.

I threw out so much expired stuff, including lidocaine patches that I was mad at myself for forgetting that they were back there. It was nice to be able to repurpose the pads for ladies that could use them. I also had a box of single wet wipe packets and five pouches of tissues that I tossed in there too.

Last Friday at dinner with T and B - we ended up talking a bit about menopause and hormones - and B was just..befuddled. He literally had NO IDEA what menopause was - and after we explained it - he was like "do men have a menopause equivalent?" LOL I mean - he meant do they have a whole "hormones go batshit" thing, not so much as "do we stop getting periods" - but still, the man is in his late 70s and had NO IDEA

To his credit, he was pretty horrified that women go through that :D

Good grief, men are DUMB. Well never too late to enlighten him!

You can horrify him further to tell him about how even though I'm now in menopause, I'm still going to have to have surgery to remove the works since they have big growths that won't shrink much. LOL
