I'm sure you were as pissed as the rest of us in NJ with the picture of Christie sunning himself on one of our CLOSED beaches with his family because of a state budget shutdown. This tweet gives me hilarity and life - photoshop for the WIN

Made it a little over half a day at work until everything was sore and exhausted. About to nap. I only got about 4.5 hours of sleep last night since I knew I had to be up.

It was pretty callous of him, but let's face it he's a lame duck and on his way out. His track recored went down hill and he was a huge disappointment to many people. All I can say to him is 'don't the door hit you on the way out.'

I'm lucky in that the shutdown doesn't affect me. Thankfully I renewed my registration last week...whew.

I feel for the 45,000+ non-essential state employees. Read this recently:

In 2006, the tens of thousands of state employees furloughed during the first-ever state government shutdown received back pay for the days they were out of work.

In all, some 45,000 workers in courthouses and motor vehicle facilities and offices across the state were taken off the job as lawmakers and Gov. Jon Corzine disagreed on raising New Jersey's 6 percent sales tax.

As a state budget standoff replays itself in Trenton and a government shutdown looms, Gov. Chris Christie suggested workers this time won't be so lucky.

"Don't count on it," Christie said at a news conference Friday,

He's such an asshole. Guess he doesn't ever want to run for prez or high office again since people will remember this crap.

State higher ed isn't affected so I'm not furloughed but I feel for those folks that are.

That was definitely giving a finger to NJ w. his deliberate use of the beach when it is closed to the public, and on 4th of July wkend! That is not reasonable thinking, that is vengeful and mean spirited.

Christie seems to be bitter and going to take everyone down w. him in his broken dreams and humiliations. If he's not happy, NO ONE can be happy! And the man had on tiny shorts... geez!
