Aug. 6th, 2017 08:16 pmBebopping around YT when I should be getting ready for bed. Sunday night bluuuues. I like this channel "Facts" where Irish people try stuff and it's usually funny but they couldn't be funny when watching My 600 Pound Life. I admit to following that show. I feel for those who struggle, root for those who are busting ass to try to fix their lives and get frustrated at the ones that thrive on the drama and sabotage themselves.
Anyway, it must be the first ever YT video where the comments section is a breath of fresh air. Overwhelming support and love and the woman from the show actually commented and is touched! I also found her Instagram page and WOW, she looks so much healthier.
I'm following her on IG now because hey, if she can get herself healthy starting at over 650 pounds, I can do it at a little over 200 (though without gastric surgery in my case - she obviously needed the surgical help)

Date: 2017-08-07 04:35 am (UTC)But, since turning full vegetarian, I did lose 60 lbs. I was closer to 300 before that.
I think we both can do it, I really can. Sure, it will take some time and there are times it will be really hard. But, I know in my heart of hearts we can do it.

Date: 2017-08-07 12:23 pm (UTC)There are some folks that can be bigger and be healthy but clearly we're not them. My highest weight was about 20 years ago when I was close to 270. I've been fat since about first grade and when it's become that ingrained, it's so hard to keep with good habits even once you've learned them.
Looking forward to our next week's veggie fest! Though I'm moving more and building the muscle, I'm not losing weight because that darned nibble-nibble-nibble and eating unhealthy food keeps happening. When I'm paying more attention to what I'm cramming in my gob, it'll be better.
