Pretty much the icon
Jun. 22nd, 2023 02:20 pmThe smoke alarm is still chirping and so I emailed yet again. Hopefully I'll hit the pick 6 tomorrow and it can be someone else's problem.
JonJon scratch doesn't seem any worse but he'd better leave it alone or I'll get and use a cone of shame. There has been some kitty mini-spats which happens when the boy picks up on mom's hormones. Another reason why menopause would be really, really welcome.
Speaking of hormones, the lower abdomen is as big as the already inflated upper abdomen. Hopefully I'll birth that basketball soon.
I was going to pick up my meds on the way home today and called the pharmacy only to find out that they never got them, so messaged the doctor's office a little before 10am. It's not an emergency but dammit, can one freaking thing go right this week?
There's been drama galore at work with the power-hungry dickbag that they hired to head up the business, budget and HR offices (seems like a conflict of interest as he's padding the HELL out of his office when the University told them that their offices need to shrink). He's been gunning to kick us out of the building so he can spread out his little fiefdom. I've not been mentioned but obviously I'd be part of the group. I'm not going to be packing any too fast. My shitty bosslady along with the head of Extension need to band together and demand that the wuss of an executive dean do something about him. But we know they won't.
There's a whole local town drama thing about some right-wing, anti-LGBTQIA nutball complaining to her rabbi and convincing the mayor (who I didn't vote for her in the recent primary since she rubs me the wrong way) to take down the Pride flags that are along the sidewalk. The fact that the mayor did it and then lied about doing it is pissing a lot of the town off. Yeah, you all voted for her - hope there's a reasonable independent candidate for the main election. I made mention to the fact that the synagogue in question is a voting location and that local LGBTQIA folks may not feel safe voting there. Seems like I wasn't the only one and so that may become an issue.
