I usually delete the PSEG scolding emails about energy usage. The one for September estimated that the majority of my electric use was for lighting.

brighter? Oh and yeah, I soooo love to cook more when it's over 90 out. Totally. Idiots.
This part also made me WTF?
Making a few small changes on how you use water can easily save you 5% on your hot water use. Start in the morning by shortening your showers by a minute or two, and don't let the hot water run when you shave or brush your teeth. When doing laundry, wash your clothes in cold water. In the kitchen, run the water only when rinsing the dishes.
I don't have laundry in my apartment but uh...who the hell brushes their teeth with HOT water?
