Life is a combination of magic and pasta.

Dad's sense of time was off and he thought he'd gone more than a week without going to the bathroom, forgetting that they quite literally sucked everything out of his stomach and he didn't get back on solid food until Friday night. They'll wait through today and then try something a little stronger to try to kick start the works tomorrow.
