Just a small update - the painting has been done. Thankfully we had the contractor tear out the built in desk and thankfully we had our painter do the kitchen first since unfortunately, they couldn't get the small-ish freezer we ordered down to the basement. It just couldn't make the corner. Anyway, slightly different shade of yellow, less lemony and we prefer it and a freezer!

My bedroom has been changed from peach and pink-peach (yes, one wall didn't have the same color on it) to purple! I did a LOT of patching of the wall before he came to paint since they put a ton of holes in it by putting up a TV mount that I don't need





Oh and yes, that blue chair holding down a corner of the new rug is one of our dining chairs. The place is going to be COLORFULAs if I'm not tired enough, I found out today that I'm moving to the office next door on FRIDAY so I am going to have to spend the next couple of mornings purging, sorting and packing. I already emptied tons of files that weren't really needed.

Ooooh office move! Does this mean a)better temperature controls? and/or b)better office mates?
Nothing like an impending move to get us to PURGE, though!

Thanks! I at first thought that it might be a little too light, but the room isn’t super bright so it’s the shade of purple that I want. It’s interesting that it definitely looks different depending upon what angle that you look at it. I got the rug from bed Bath and beyond online. You may like the other rugs that we got which when we get the room rooms put together I’ll take a picture of those. It’s all about vibrant colors.

I’ll actually have a window, though I will have to find a way to put some sort of window covering on it and I have some drapes that I can hopefully get up there somehow because when it’s summertime and the sun is streaming in, it gets really warm. But it’s so much better than my landlocked office. It’ll actually still be in the same suite, but one of the people is moving into the business office. My current office will go to the new person that starts after Memorial Day.

Yeah, paint colours can turn out to be really intense on the walls - my friend picked a lovely pinky-purple colour for her walls when she was a kid and OMG it was SO intense and *unrelentingly* dark pink when it was on the walls - it was hard to deal with :D

A *window* office - ooh la la! How awesome! Maybe a tension rod, if there is space to stick it up?

Love that purple bedroom! Exciting changes going on, although you probably did not need an office change at work at the same time you're doing the same on the home front.

I swear, everything really does happen all at once.
