Wrangling managed
22 February 2024 12:02Thank goodness I was already wearing a bra when I went for the snatch 'n' stuff this morning. The girl tried climbing over me with her back claws so I have a couple of small holes in my shirt and a small scratch near the bra strap. I held tight and got her into the carrier where she started singing the sad song of her people.
She accepted her fate once she was in the car and we were on our way. Since her sneezing isn't worse but she has picked up that awful sounding occasional reverse sneezing and her eyes do have some discharge, we did another round of an antibiotic shot. Sounds like she has chronic sinus issues like her human mom. I'm also going to have to try to give her eyedrops. We'll see how THAT goes but I'll give it the old college try....maybe starting tomorrow. We also opted to do her senior bloodwork but I don't think I'll trek back with a poo sample since nothing ever seems to come of those. Got a month to decide there.
The girl has hissed at the boy a little when she got back since she always assumes that it's his fault somehow. She's also asked for many snacks and she did get them.
She also lost half a pound but she's been eating fine and since both kitties needed a little bit of weight off, I reduced their wet food by 1/4 of a small can per day each without drama (they're exclusively wet fed).
Hopefully the bloodwork comes back good. I do need to get the boy a checkup since it's been a while but yeah, not up for that drama yet.
