Fly by update
20 February 2025 16:25Good news from the visit to the eye doctor that the big floater that I had issues back last summer with appears to have likely dissolved. Also, I mentioned about the fact that I have to take my glasses off to read and I've been sometimes having to sit back or tilt my head up to read my computer screen. She said that my eyes are high (really?) and that they could modify the progressives to move the line up.
I thought about it briefly and opted to go for option 2 and spend a little money on computer/reading glasses instead. One reason is if they move the line up and it ends up annoying me while driving, then I'm worse off and the second reason is that I get to treat myself with the GIGANTIC round glasses that I wanted last time but are too big to make into progressives. I look super dorky in them and I kind of love it. So those should come in about a week. Also, I did get the anti-glare stuff on the readers which will be better anyway for all the working at the computer.
Now I need to find some dorktastic beaded or other silly things to put the glasses on so I can wear them around my neck.
Other than that, there's stuff but boy, I'm tired. They're doing some work in our building on Monday so everyone has to work from home so since I do need to chip away at vacation days, I'm taking the day off and Emily is also taking it off and we're going to go to Costco and do other stuff that does NOT involve looking at the damned news.
