If you're tempted now, you can order online from Troop 6000 in NYC. I like to support them since they are a troop in the shelter system. I got some lemon-ups and thin mints since they are vegan friendly. I wish they were the other bakers since the peanut butter patties are vegan but Tagalongs aren't.

So they are learning about how conception occurs and how to prevent it, instead of singing the 1960's pro-life campfire song about "every year I'd go a little bit wild and have myself an illegitimate child" ? Shocking!

If the Girl Scouts have "admitted" they accept trans-girls, how is that a secret? I never understand these ultra-secret conspiracies that are published all over the internet and everyone knows about.

I've never been much of a cookie fan and always found Girl Scout cookies too dry, but maybe I'll buy a few boxes and donate them to a local food pantry.

The vegan communities freak out about GS cookies every year. Apparently the only ones guaranteed vegan are thin mints. A few others can be vegan depending on where they were baked, which is wild. I only eat the thin mints, but I could take or leave them generally.

I'm not too strict, though I do try to avoid milk and such. The Lemon Ups were listed as containing some milk which I didn't see until after I ordered but it's also listed as "less than 2%" so I'm going to eat them anyway since I'm not throwing out food.

Girl Guides were the original youth radical activists. My next book to read is How the Girl Guides Wonthr War (about their contributions to Britain’s efforts on the home front in WWII). Most of my best friends were guides. I 100% support girls knowing they have the right to bodily autonomy and can insist on consent (and also not die from unwanted or too early childbirth, since the UN goals are mentioned). They, and I, are committed environmentalists. I would buy Girl Scout cookies if I could. I’ll settle for Girl Guide cookies instead.

I'm here for that! I"m not sure if they have any Lesly-friendly cookies and I"d have to import them (we don't have Girl Scouts here (e have Girl Guides and they only have a few kinds of cookies). But I love that the organization is making progress.

My problem with purchasing/donating on the Troop 6000 site is paying for them (I don't have a bank account due to identity theft [it was someone in my family, and I'm [i]still[/i] getting notices of "passing bad checks" even though I haven't had a checkbook/checking account in over two decades.)

I'd [i]love[/i] to donate cookies to several deserving groups....

Makes me proud to have bought a few boxes from a friend's daughter in Texas to be donated to first responders. (B/c I don't need cookies, but they had that option, so I was like, ok, I'll support her daughter.)
