I did the quick grab and stuff method into the new kitty carrier to get the boy to the vet for his first check after the I-131 treatment. He was his usual amount of meow-y dramatic going there. They are still preferring the concierge service thing so I waited in the car while he got his tests and they even were kind enough to bring him all the way back out and put him in the car.

So far he's doing well and is back above 13 pounds. For years he was close to 14 pounds which is about right for him since he's a tall, muscular boy. Hopefully the tests show good news as well. I mentioned the limp he had that took several days to resolve and they suggested that it might be a good thing to get my two 10 year old kitties on joint supplements. Any of y'all do those and if so, what kind?

He was quiet all the way home and as usual, hopped right out of the carrier when I got him inside. Though he didn't run and hide which was progress. We were gone less than an hour. Unfortunately the girl still thinks he's contaminated and is hissing and swatting at him. HOPEFULLY that doesn't go on for too many days as it's annoying as hell.

They made another follow up for the end of October but I'll see if we keep it based on the tests. It's a lot for both of us to do vet visits and hell, even for a follow up rather than regular appointment, it was $300.

But overall so far, good news.

I am so glad to read this. Probably not as glad as you are. My Bonnie is fine until I put her in the carrier then she becomes an instant pee machine. I don't know how to fix that...
