I would've hugged the delivery guy from Walmart for bringing it upstairs and inside for me if the poor dude hadn't been covered in sweat. I felt bad that I didn't have any bottled water to give him but on my feedback I did put to give him a raise and some lemonade.

It was already turning 80 inside the bedroom when it arrived. Last night it had got to 84 and if I didn't get this, chances are since it didn't cool down a lot inside, it would have been worse. Fingers crossed that it works at minimum all season and maybe another year if I'm lucky. Right now it's back down to 77 and it is SO much more comfortable. Hopefully the living room AC will not work so hard to keep up now. I lifted things as carefully as I could. The unit weighs about 36 pounds which is the lightest one I could find.

Oh and yeah, that is a "portable" AC sitting next to it with the tape and stuff on top. Don't waste your money on those behemoths since they don't last any longer than a far cheaper window unit and weigh three times as much.

It was so godawful miserable last night. Got to the mid 80s and humid inside even with the living room AC trying to run and fans going. It's supposed to have another heat wave next week so I'm very glad that I spent the funds on an AC for the bedroom so I can work in here.

Thanks! This little cheap (as AC units go) unit is so far doing great. It doesn't have a thermostat so it runs constantly when you have it on, but it got near 90 today and in the bedroom it's currently 72. I have a fan blowing near the door to help out the unit in the living room that's struggling. I'm hoping maybe late tonight or tomorrow morning to be able to turn off the living room unit at least for 20 minutes to half an hour so that maybe the motor will cool down and it'll start working better. It's been running constantly for over a week

Yay for getting a decent a/c unit. I hope it gives all 3 of you more comfort during these miserable hot and humid days.
