NOT looking forward to more of this

I need to find a way to get the bedroom AC unit in the window. It ended up getting to 88 outside yesterday and by early evening it was getting pretty miserable inside since the living room AC doesn't have much stamina. I notice this morning that Thursday it's supposed to get in the mid-80s again. Dammit. I hope the forecast is wrong but I generally don't get that lucky when it comes to heat. Suffice it to say, I didn't sleep well at all which sucks especially since I have my biweekly meeting this morning with Bosslady. The kitties were also off and just when I'd finally nod off, they'd get the zoomies and thunder around the place.

Aaaaand speaking of kitties, as I'm typing this trying to get my brain together at work to get something accomplished, I see JonJon on the camera at home horking up hairballs on the carpet. Well, at least I'll know where they are to clean when I get home.

I did find and turn on one of my dehumidifiers this morning. I should have cranked it up to high since it's all cool and thick feeling outside. I'll add that to my list for when I get home around noon.

I had more but today is proving to be nuts and my brain feels like it's swimming through goo as well.

Not to be sexist, but you need to get a nice, strong, young man for a neighbor so you can have stuff like the AC lifted for you. To very loosely paraphrase Aristotle: Men have broad shoulders so they can do heavy work. Women have broad hips so they can sit and supervise."

It is hairball season. Moon is discreet: under tables and beds, in corners, behind doors. I play "hide the treat" with him sometimes so I guess he thinks hide the hairball is a similar game.

Junie was straight up wheezing and scared the crap out of me this afternoon. I was even on the phone with the vet but then she calmed down. I didn't want to put her through unnecessary trauma. So air cleaners are running on full blast, vacuum has been run and both kitties have been wiped down with a damp washcloth (I also swiffer wet mopped the inside stairs and was absolutely disgusted)

If need be, I'll rent Emily's nephew. It's less about the weight but just needing a spotter so I don't drop the darned thing out of the second floor window
