I took about 45 minutes at lunchtime and went to a local barber to shear off the hairs
My hair had been doing curly for a while, ringlets even, until this morning where even with curly hair shampoo, conditioner and product it was all frizzy:

So I felt a lot better getting it all lobbed off

Even though it wasn't super thick before, it was taking FOREVER to dry and I can't be fussing with that post-surgery. This will be much easier to deal with until I'm mobile.
I'm trying to get as caught up as I can at work and it's making me stressed. I need to try to sneak in maybe half a day off to just do nothing or to drive somewhere since I won't be doing that for weeks.

For me, it was and is being near water lots of it. YMMV, though. Maybe just lying on the bed/couch/chaise longue listening to calming music or a meditation...

Emily and Lucy are going to another KPop concert this weekend so I'll have to find something to do or someplace to center myself since it might feel TOO quiet and the anxiety will build. I wish fall were further along since I'd have loved to go somewhere to see the change of colors on the trees. Maybe I'll take a winding drive around Princeton.
Huh...I don't remember this place when Emily and I were driving around that area

(Also - adding "cut my hair" to my mental checklist of things to do before my surgery in January, now!)
A half day off sounds like a fabulous idea - especially if you have any nice weather coming up!
