I took about 45 minutes at lunchtime and went to a local barber to shear off the hairs
My hair had been doing curly for a while, ringlets even, until this morning where even with curly hair shampoo, conditioner and product it was all frizzy:

So I felt a lot better getting it all lobbed off

Even though it wasn't super thick before, it was taking FOREVER to dry and I can't be fussing with that post-surgery. This will be much easier to deal with until I'm mobile.

I'm trying to get as caught up as I can at work and it's making me stressed. I need to try to sneak in maybe half a day off to just do nothing or to drive somewhere since I won't be doing that for weeks.

well, I know you didn't do it for looks but I think it's cute.

The hardest part IS the waiting. You'll do what you can when you can. Is there a place you can get away to that is just 'breathe' material? For me, it was and is being near water lots of it. YMMV, though. Maybe just lying on the bed/couch/chaise longue listening to calming music or a meditation...

Wow - you really had ALL the curls! So cute but yeah, a ton of work (I'm assuming - my stick-straight hair won't hold a curl, LOL)

I love the new do though - a bit edgy, but still enough on top to "do stuff" with if you so choose!

(Also - adding "cut my hair" to my mental checklist of things to do before my surgery in January, now!)

A half day off sounds like a fabulous idea - especially if you have any nice weather coming up!
