Received a call from the gyno's office asking if I'd removed the surgical stuff yet which no, I hadn't since it was stuck over the incision solidly...along with stuck to the area below it that should've had far more hair removal. Urgh. Well, they told me I should take it off since it didn't come off naturally in a week. Greeeeeeat. After using MANY alcohol swabs and light tugging and wincing, the thing is off. There is some light leakage from the wound site which I hope is normal. It doesn't look angry or anything at least, just not as solidly a thin line as I would've liked. So of course I'm now all nervous about it when I'm SURE it's likely fine. I have my follow up on Wednesday so unless it really starts springing a leak, I'll tell my head to shut the hell up. I do wish that area would be less swollen in general to give me more comfort so until it cooperates, gotta be more militant about not eating unhealthy stuff. Fortunately I've not been too bad about that.
Today was my first outing since Emily picked me up near 11 and we went to the farmers market to get a few things from the CSA that I'd subscribed to. Unfortunately they didn't have the potatoes out yet but we did get a couple of fennels and some nice looking green beans.
The last few days I've done two 10 minute sessions daily on the treadmill. Slow walking but hey, it counts until I can get my energy improved. I'm not ready to drive yet but that's fine. I'm in no rush.
We finally had to turn the heat on last night. We keep it pretty low but when at 8pm I was debating on whether I should put on a hat, we knew that it was getting a little ridiculous and turned it on for the downstairs area. I only have it set in the mid-60s and it's plenty comfortable.
Ok, the boy is grousing for food so gotta go shuffle off for that. Hope everyone is doing well. Hugs.
