Substitute doc had the same assessment as Emily that my lurch up when JonJon horked popped a blood vessel. But fortunately (fingers crossed), things still look to be slowly healing ok since there wasn't a lot of bright red on the gauze we slapped over things at 4am. But DAMN body, would you CHILL and HEAL already?

Oh and because I noted some odd looking colors on the bandage change Thursday, doc sent in a culture just to make sure things are kosher. That'll ease the mind further.

I'm getting frustrated and exhausted since I started off post-surgery so well. They also reinforced REST so keeping walking to not excessive, bending to only when critical and lifting anything of significance is forbidden.

Once I get a nap in soon, or attempted nap, maybe I'll try reading. It's extra annoying that my attention span is still short. Ah well.

But thank you for the continued good vibes.

Glad the doc is following up just in case - and yes REST :D

This is the danger point - when you get TIRED of being laid up and your brain wants to do more than your body can :D It's a good sign - it means you are not being exhausted by pain - and are probably taking fewer pain meds? But it is where you can overdo it - my friend T hit this point on BOTH knee replacements :D

You will heal better if you can relax. It helps the lymph and blood flow around the wound. Sounds like your body and JonJon aren't helping with that. A purring cat is healing, but vomiting cats are not; explain the difference to JonJon.

Glad you moved in with Emily before this. She seems to be going above and beyond if she changes dressings at 4 AM.

Sending good vibes.

Well, ain't that a heck of a deal. I'm sure you could do without the midnight stress and excitement, but it does sound like you are healing, although unexpectedly slowly.

Here's to sending you patience vibes!
