I'm not attending the buildingwide Halloween thing on Halloween since anything that's endorsed by the awful Executive Dean is not something I'm endorsing. However, I do feel obligated to somewhat attend the 2nd floor party that's being organized by the people I work with. Unfortunately they invited the business and budget office so my attendance will be fly-by.
This one's a potluck and on the sign up sheet, I put that I'd bring charcuterie. I'm probably going to get most of the contents at Trader Joe's and I have a nice rectangle clear tray to use. I'm not going to make a whole spooky themed anything since from past potlucks, those rarely get eaten. However, I do want to make sure that what I bring gets mostly consumed.
So, what are your favorite and least liked things on a charcuterie tray? I'm debating whether to do both meat and cheese or just cheese. If I do some meat, I'll probably get the turkey summer sausage from TJs which several of my coworkers are Jewish but not strict so they might avoid pork but might also eat meat and dairy at times. Also wondering whether to just do some fruit, some veggies or both.
Also, I think I'll cut most of the cheese in cubes and possibly not bother with crackers. Not sure, though.
What say you?
