Tentative good news
25 October 2023 16:53Mom really couldn't talk because she was just clearly BEAT, however Dad said she ate well and drank some at lunchtime and when I was talking to him, the aide came by and was going to get both of them some fresh water (they give them those big cups with lids and straws). He also said she slept a little better last night though she still keeps wanting to "go home."
Sis finally got their direct number figured out and she's going to be moving their stuff to them this coming weekend so if Mom is feeling better, this should also help since one thing they're moving over is Mom's recliner which she'll be very happy about. Other things that are going to be moved in are a new, bigger, nicer TV, DVD player and DVDs (they don't have much selection on the TV at the moment), some small-ish furniture to put things in, Dad's keurig and hopefully they have enough outlets for the mini-fridge to be moved in too for snacks, protein drinks, coffee creamer, etc. Sis and BIL want to make it as cozy as they can without cramming too much in there but the more it feels like home, the more comfortable both of them will be.
Not surprisingly, neither one of them have the slightest clue how to figure out the laptops that Sis got and configured for them. If they never get used, I guess they can get donated somewhere (had to spend the money anyway to get them under Medicaid limitations). But if they have plenty of movies and Dad has his radio, they should be fine.
