I'm all fancy with my "office with a window"

Hopefully with my fancy office, we can get me a more fancy title and pay rate. Working on it. Just glad that one of the moves is DONE. Long way to go on the home move.

The only other thing that needs done is to get the curtains up but I need to take down the curtain rod and metallic 3M hooks at home for that. I don't have a space to use one of them at the new house so may as well use them at work. That and they're no longer to drill into the walls to put anything up since there's asbestos up in there that needs to stay encapsulated. Lovely.

Anyway, a few pictures of the new space.
The window in need of curtains which yeah, I got some at Ikea that should cover most all of the window except for the half moon at the top. That will be needed with summer heat


The panels are also sound barriers. I left the green ones on the wall in the old office for the new gal. She may want us to order more panels for the wall between her and Josh since it's paper thin. This is the wall people will see when I'm on a Zoom call. Also, coffeeeeee


This should work fine. I may want to pivot one of my screens for zoom fun since otherwise it gets ALL the light right into the camera

Ughhhh, dammit

Got a call from the movers to confirm our Monday appointment for the estimate and now while they can do the junk collection on the 29th, they can't do the move. They have "some availability" on the 27th or it has to go to early June. I am going to push for the 27th, otherwise I'll just find a different moving company. Because I've already booked to move my Verizon service on the 29th and I'd prefer not to mess with that. If I move on the 27th, Emily can let me use her little hot spot if I end up WFH on the afternoon on the 28th.

That and one of the things that needs junked is my bedframe and box spring since the mattress is moving to the house on top of a daybed frame so if the junk is before the move, well, I'll have to find a way to clean the floor so the mattress could hang out there until the move. Which reminds me that I need to find a way to get the few things out from under the bed.

They're still coming to tour the apartment to give the estimate for the move on this coming Monday afternoon. I'm going to see what small stuff I can organize and move this weekend so I can keep assessing what I have and what to do with it. Ugh. SO MUCH TO DO.
