I stumbled on this YouTube channel last night and had to subscribe. The channel's title of "peaceful cuisine" is so accurate. You can almost meditate to the food preparation. Also, the food he makes looks delicious - such as this marbled carrot cake/ginger cake (which is also vegan)

1. DIM SUM. DIMMMSUMMMMM
2. Spaghetti with tomato sauce. Though no one ever made it as well as Mom so it became a running joke when I'd order it at a restaurant and they'd try to remind me that I wasn't going t like it
3. Hm...I'd say an omelet. Made properly with the pocket of lovely veggies and cheese inside the pocket of egg (or egg white if I'm being good) and not "diner style" where they cook the stupid contents into the egg. That's not a proper omelet.
4. See #1, though on a more ordinary day, good ol' Chinese food. Usually something like chicken with pea pods in white sauce

Oh and what did I have for lunch today? Chinese. LOL We tried a new place that sent out an ad in our work email since they're on Rutgers property. Their salt and pepper fish was ok but I like the place on Easton Ave in Somerset NJ better since on this one, the breading was more obvious whereas the place on Easton you can barely tell that there's any breading - just The bubble tea was lacking, alas. 

As if I wasn't tortured enough today by not having internet at work, I decided to go for the next food adventure. Here we have the creme de la crap of Chinese cuisine:

Just...bleargh. I gotta really start spreading out these food experiments.

The other day when I was pondering whether there were any ChiChi restaurants around (there aren't, by the way), I then started thinking about other defunct places we enjoyed - ones that still have a brand presence around. One of those places is the Kahiki. Their frozen items are still around in stores, evidently. I really should go to Stop and Shop and find some. However the food itself isn't what I remember.

I'm almost sure that it was my 21st birthday where I went there since it was the drinks I remember more. It was one of those places with the big fancy tiki-bar kind of concoctions where on some of them they used dry ice for even further effect aside from the fun cups and little paper umbrellas.
