Vacation, smacation

I'm chipping away at the always-growing pile at work and will be taking a half vacation day this afternoon and a full one tomorrow. Alas, being me, I'm not exactly going to be frittering away the time eating bonbons (not that I should be eating bonbons but I digress). I'll be heading over to Target when I leave to pick up the small carpet cleaner I had been putting off ordering. Miss JuneBug yet again decorated the area rug (and the couch cushion, the bottom of the wood coffee table, several magazines, some paperwork and pretty much destroyed a pair of slippers with kitty barf). I'm not too worried about her, I think it was a situation where she ate more than her tiny body could hold. I'll tell ya, though, that wee little thing seems to be auditioning for the cat version of The Exorcist. 

So I'll be spending this afternoon deep cleaning at least one large area rug and if it dries in a decent timeframe, another one. Early tomorrow morning I'll be schlepping over to the laundromat with the towels, bedding, etc. (and the stained couch cushion cover) that don't get done with the regular laundry. Probably more rug cleaning and possibly some moving around of furniture, and I'll try to squeeze in a haircut.

I guess since I can't really afford to travel and I'm not a fan of it anyway, at least I'll soon have a clean apartment to hang out in.

I hope JuneBug is feeling better now. I also hope that JonJon doesn't feel he needs to compete with her in the barfing stakes. Happy cleaning.

Oh yeah, she seems fine. Was running around like a nutcase five minutes after it happened and ate like a champ this morning. I think she was just at cat-pacity.

Neither one of them better barf tonight since I spent all afternoon moving furniture and vacuuming and figuring out the deep cleaner with the water basins to be sucking crud out of the area rugs(was pretty filthy but boy, it looks and smells so nice now)

I literally just pulled Titus (the sweetest lil' black kitty when he's not being a complete jerk...) off the curtains. :l
And the bannister. And last night, he was in the damn dish draining tray. Buuut thennn he rubs my leg with his cute little face and the next thing I know I'm giving him treats haha

I have two little goofs - JuneBug (Junie) - who yes, that's her in the icon on the main post and JonJon who is in the icon on this comment. Junie is smaller and has more dark fur than the big lug JonJon who is the Neediest Cat ON EARTH. He's the one that wakes me up now at 2 freaking 30 in the morning singing the sad song of his people until I give him some snuggles and some food. My friend Emily chuckles that rather than him being my emotional support cat, I'm his emotional support human.

omg aww JonJon... I had a cat like that (my sweet Ninja, lost him in April) he just could NOT get enough loves and cuddles (I loved it...I would not, however, enjoy the 2:30AM thing!! "Sad song of his people" made me laugh, though lmao I know said song (feeding time is crazy here...)

Aw, Pip sometimes will eat too much too fast and then barf it up. Usually somewhere that can be easily cleaned but yesterday he felt the area rug needed a little something.
