Since they have them available at my preferred pharmacy finally, I made an appointment for 11:20 this coming Friday to get my updated Covid booster shot as well as my flu shot.

I fully expect to feel like shit over the weekend. LOL

Well, I got a double stab today. So far, I'm really tired but nothing I can't handle and,oh yeah, better than getting serious covid.

Yes I need to look into that but not right now. I didn't have any problems from the last 2 boosters....

I'm thinking I'm going to stagger my flu shot and covid booster.

I read an article recently that said there is evidence that the flu shot actually gives you pretty decent covid protection - the "attenuated virus" types of vaccines - like flu shots, TDAP, polio - apparently kickstart the immune system into high alert - protecting against more than just the thing you get vaccinated for. While the COVID type of shot, doesn't give you any protection against anything other than COVID.

One doctor in this article, was saying that in the midst of the worst of the pandemic, before the COVID vaccine was available, he was getting flu shots every 4-5 months to keep his immune system boosted.

So that makes me think - if I stagger my flu shot and covid booster - it might stretch out my protection? I got my last booster in May, so if I do the flu shot later this month, and then covid booster in February maybe?
