I knew it was going to be warm in my landlocked office but it's cracked 83F and I'm roasting in here. My little fan is just blowing the hot air at me but I guess it's moving. I wore my Kizik sneakers and kicked those off. I'll have to remember to wear short breezy dresses and slip on shoes for the foreseeable future.

I have an eye on the kitties on the Nest camera at home and thankfully they are chilling out. There were some hissing and growling incidents from the girl last night but nothing that required a lot of intervention. I also went to bed (well couch) very early last evening to try to get as much sleep as I could manage since I knew it would be interrupted.

EDIT: It's nearly to 84F. I took off my socks. Not that anyone can see that from outside my office since my feet are under my desk and at this point, I don't think I'd care if they did

Is there an actual rule that you can't work in your underwear? Maybe they never thought of needing that rule.

I have a couple of cotton dresses that technically are nightgowns but I didn't know that when I got them from Lands End since they just look like simple cotton dresses. I'll be wearing those and other cotton dresses. It's supposed to get in the 60s outside and I doubt the heat will be off so if I don't wear as little as I can get away with, I'm gonna die.

I normally stick around until 11:30 but fuck that, I'm out of here now. It's horrible.

OMG I would die. Are you part of a union? Is there anything in the contract about providing a reasonable working environment?

My union suuuuuuuucks. We never have an agreement negotiated in any reasonable timeframe (we're likely going to not get raises in July like everyone else...AGAIN). I'm glad that I never signed the card so when the legislation changed a few years ago, I don't have to pay dues.

It was 83 when I came in this morning and I guilted my suite mate to open his window. He grumbled that yesterday it "didn't help" (are you fucking kidding?). I put a fan blowing into my office from the outer area and it's already down to 82. Still stifling but less so. I also wore a thin cotton knee length dress and I've kicked off my shoes.
