missdianeJonJon scratched a patch raw by his eye some weeks ago and so I had to regularly wrangle him to put kitty-safe and near-the-eye safe antiseptic on it. It's just now finally starting to get fur to grow back and today he was whining at me a little more than his normal drama. I looked and good GRIEF now the dork has scratched deep enough near the ear on that same side that it was bleeding a little.
Dude, could you just NOT?!?! More wrangling and antiseptic which I'll have to repeat for a while to try to ensure it doesn't get infected. Since he's had this in the past, I'm guessing it's some sort of dust or other allergy. I'm going to have to try to wrangle him even more to try to trim the back claws better. Because good grief I do not want to subject either one of us to the stress of getting to the vet - especially not in 90+ degree weather.

I'd think it were mites except I don't see him scratching often, just a little too effectively when he does scratch. The dope.
