Whew...this is a lot

I'm still in the online training thing which is all about the job I interviewed for and wow...this is a lot of information. I mean A LOT. Acronyms o'rama, things I've never done at all, financial heavy.

Sure I can learn it but if there's someone else interviewing that has more experience (such as an internal person looking for an upgrade in their department), then they are likely to get the job over me.

Though if that happens and I don't get this job, then I'm going to get off my ass and start working on improving my current situation rather than being complacent with what's going on now.

As I am sure you know, Universities are funny about that kind of stuff ( promoting internally). In my department a 'replacement' faculty assistant (read Secretary/baby sitter) was hired and she didn't know word processing. At all. She's still there.
