Rough all around

Yeah, things aren't doing better, unfortunately. Mom kept Dad up all night calling for him and wanting to get up (she can't stand or walk), won't eat, won't drink much. He sounds rough. Then I get a FB message through the family grapevine asking for their number from my cousin since she needs to talk to him about his brother. They're the only two left of five and some months ago, he had 5% heart function but he was able to get to a Reds game and otherwise do ok at home. But I'm guessing by the fact that they need the number that he might be on his last moments.

Poor Dad can't catch a break at all.

I'm so sorry to hear about all these continuing woes. It must be very hard for you right now, worrying about both your parents and a potential second blow for your father.

This is hard and I know it is harder at a distance. The set up sounds like it's good though, maybe enough of their things so they feel comfortable in the room. I hope things will improve and your mom can settle in, find some peace.
