Sure, why not?
Aug. 2nd, 2024 01:35 pmI've had little tiny floating spots in the vision in the past that usually tip me off that there's a migraine on the way if I don't rest. However, about an hour and a half ago, I had a MASSIVE floater of some kind. It was transparent but had rough fuzzy edges so it distorted vision. I tried the suggested trick of moving my eyes up and down and back and forth and nope, it didn't help and in fact it grew.
I was trying to eat lunch at the time so I finished that off and then went to chill out in the recliner. It seems to have resolved and I have a dull headache now. But WTF? Never had something like that. I've had iritis in the past but it manifested differently.
Well, it's been a couple of years since my last eyeglass exam and while the doc wasn't an opthamologist, she did a nicely thorough eye health exam along with the glasses exam so I checked on the website and made an appointment for the next soonest with her which will be next Wednesday afternoon.
Interesting since I was just thinking recently that maybe I should get a spare pair of eyeglasses anyway. No time like the present.

Date: 2024-08-02 07:06 pm (UTC)It's only been a couple of years since I had my eye exam and got glasses but since I had a nasty bout of iritis once years ago, I'm supposed to get it checked somewhat regularly. I had a piercing headache and went to bed and woke up with the vision in my right eye completely cloudy and it took many weeks of my eye being dilated and steroid drops to get it fixed so now there's scarring that I need to let every eye doc know about. That and the whole dumb diabetes thing means more eye checking too.
I know it'll be expensive since to add insult to injury, I have astigmatism AND need bifocals but since I have the funds right now, I'm going to "treat" myself and get a fun pair.
