I feel like I just threw thousands of dollars down the drain. The biopsy came back showing lymph node inflammation which isn't all that conclusive. It's either IBD OR I can spend yet another $900 to have them analyze even more to find out maybe, possibly if it's cancer. I told them no. Oh but steroids will buy a year but kitty chemo on top of it might buy you two IF that's what it is. Jesus. ENOUGH. I don't know why I had them do more scans since it was going to be steroids anyway but they acted as if they couldn't move forward without doing tests.
I'll follow up with my vet and see about whether they can prescribe steroids or whether I'm going to have to bring her in to them to have them make that determination instead of relying on the emergency vet's tests and assessments (because they all want the $$).
I keep getting emails to rate them. I'm going to keep deleting them since sure, they helped her in the moment but good GRIEF it was clear they were all about keeping your pet longer and running more tests if you're ok to pay for all of it and more and more.

It's frustrating (and also like our own human doctors). Several years ago I had issues with not vomiting but diarrhea on and off for MONTHS. She honestly might just have IBD that flares up. If we're going to do steroids, I'm going to look into getting them formulated into the kind that can dissolve in food
