Makeup sucks
17 February 2022 09:08So I was spazzing a bit as to what to wear for the virtual interview and whether to slap on makeup or such. I consulted with Emily since she tends to overdress for this sort of thing so if she thought what I picked passed muster, I knew I was good.
I did put on a nearly full face of makeup (without eyeshadow since EVERY single kind, no matter how hypoallergenic makes my lids swell up) and then washed off all the yucky foundation. I LOATHE that shit. Even after exfoliating in the morning and moisturizing all carefully, it still looks like flaky spackle and feels gross. I'm not wearing that stuff ever again. So I ended up with some waterproof mascara so you could tell I had eyelashes, a little concealer to somewhat mask the dark circles I always have, and some tinted lip gloss.
However, when everything was done and I was ready to wipe off the rest of the gunk, I realized that the eye makeup remover pads were bone dry. I had to google for ways to get the mascara off without losing half my lashes (answer: oil, so I had nice oily eyes after that)
I guess I should get a few fresh items. I rarely wear makeup but if I actually get another interview, I should be a bit more prepared. No foundation, though. That stuff went right in the trash. Blecch.
