Oh COME ON

Can we get a break, a small one? Seriously?

Get a call from Dad at 7am that things are "bad" and why, you ask? Because the poor guy was just trying to go to the bathroom at 5am and a DOOR FELL ON HIM and he fell. From what I could decipher, I thought kidney pain and foot pain but by the VM sis sent me that she got from the hospital, possibly hip and elbow and they're sending him to an actual hospital for X-rays. But doesn't seem like they're all too urgent about it since they were telling Dad 8:15 to be picked up while I was on the phone with him.

Keep your fingers crossed for nothing that requires any surgery. Good freaking GRIEF. That poor guy is having a shit time of things.

On another note, seems that restarting metformin and being stressed are a FUN combination as my stomach is having an absolute heyday. I had to power walk hobble to the elevator to get to the bathroom two floors away quickly. Good times. 

The hits keep on coming

Broken hip. Surgery. Damn.

They took Dad to a different hospital than the one the doctor listed on the VM but Sis says that's ok because the one he was taken to is one on the system where she can access this information (they hadn't yet even CALLED her with the diagnosis) and it's the #1 trauma place and the best place to be for this sort of thing.

But still. I'll take any hopeful vibes from any sort of denomination.
