Little bit of catch up
Jun. 1st, 2026 08:35 amDoing some finger crossing for tomorrow. Had a transthoracic echo on Thursday and a nuclear stress test on Friday. Word to the wise, the chemical stress test is awful. I mean you only feel super weird for a couple of minutes before it fades to a headache but don't recommend if you can manage to do the treadmill instead. Anyway, I had asked before I left whether I needed to make a follow up and they said I can wait until my next appointment in September unless there's something to discuss.
Seems there's something to discuss. Ugh. Have a follow up at 10:30 tomorrow to discuss the "mildly abnormal" results which I am hanging on to that "mild" for sanity's sake. I see that the commentary on the results of the nuclear imaging are not yet up on the site and I'm suspecting that's intentional. The echo had an odd comment of "The aortic valve is not well visualized. A bicuspid aortic valve cannot be excluded" which if that is confirmed on the nuclear scan would mean that I've had a congenital heart defect. Aside from notations of minimal regurgitation, on the echo, it doesn't seem too drastic right now.
It may be just that and if so, welp, I'm guessing scans on the regular to make sure it doesn't get worse. But we'll see what the doc says.
