I'll admit to once reading that Justin Bieber was from London and a piece of me died, only to find out later it was London, Ontario and being relieved it wasn't our responsibility to track him down Van Helsing style.

He's still the son of a previous Prime Minister though, there are far too many Western Democracies where the President/Prime Minister is a member of the nuclear family of a previous President/Prime Minister. There shouldn't be such ruling families in a liberal political meritocracy.

Still better than what we have to choose from right now.

the submitting of the divorce proceeding was a bit of a shock, but these things happen. We'll get over it and manage, just like you'll get over it.

I both do and don't want to watch the hideousness that'll be the debate on Monday. I'll bet I don't make it partially through before I flip off the channel but get curious enough to read the news the next day.

I imagine the sick-in-the-pit-of-the-stomach feel was the same as it was for Britex...unless folks really didn't think it'll happen. Since it did happen, that makes Trump more scary real.

Brexit will likely be economically painful and could be very damaging to the economy certainly, but actually I find myself more cheery now than before. Now there's a job to do and a purpose to fight for. On some level I always knew we were never in a political united Europe State for the long haul [I just assumed we'd have a couple more decades of raking the european money in] However, clearly that time is coming to an end but we'll work with what we've got. It's okay though. I don't feel despair or like we're drowning in a sea of ignorance - quite the opposite actually. Everything feels clearer and I've been singing a lot more. Challenges are good, stagnation was getting boring anyway.

It's not just this cloud of blackness would be my point, things haven't descended into anarchy as of yet. We'll just work harder and set new goals.

"unless folks really didn't think it'll happen."

Whilst I didn't realise it was time for another one, the British population have prior historical form of doing Revolutionary Upheaval by Stealth in one quick motion, there are parallels to what's happened going back through the centuries. This is conforming to prior cultural templates.

On the other hand American history would suggest you aren't going to elect Trump unless some sort of highly unexpected "event" happens just before election day.

Also, speaking of patterns, incidentally George Soros having a billion dollars to give to refugees is kind of cause he forced Britain into a mini-Brexit in 1992 and got all his money from crashing the pound, which caused the country to have to withdraw from the inter European exchange rate mechanism and triggered a UK wide recession which cost the country around 3 billion dollars and a political separation from Europe which wasn't actually wanted at the time. He made his fortune from orchestrating a previous mini-Brexit, at least this one is going to be caused by the democratic will of the people and not some greedy banker who thinks we're all too stupid to remember where he got his charity money from.

Trump has already warning the commentators that if they are 'mean' to him, he'll leave. yeah, that's the kind of person I want leading the country...
