Don't belittle people's fears - fear of what may happen to themselves and the fear for the people they know and love. It's unconscionably rude.

I agree. To make fun of people's fear lessen you and pretty much shows the world your true colors.

Yes, it does. It's real fear, moreso for people that are already disenfranchised.

I also don't see it as disloyal to be discouraged and horrified at the outcome of the election and ponder leaving if there was a viable option in doing so. Hopes for a nation to try to continue doing good for minorities, gay folks, heck WOMEN in general have been devastated.
