Evidently I'm "too healthy" for the doctor

I wouldn't have been any more surprised if the ENT would have proclaimed loudly "BORING!" and walked out.

Evidently by my CT scan I have super duper clean lovely sinuses...yet I have sinusitis. Whut? Oh, he's thinking it's migraines. Yes, I take BP meds because my GP diagnosed me with a month-long migraine. It helped for a while but I guess not anymore. He says I should to go a neurologist and get on meds.

But my major concern today was redness inside my lips and burning inside my mouth when I eat as well as a lump below my tongue. The lump started last week and I assumed it was probably a salivary stone since Mom gets those so I upped the water intake and started doing hard candy. It helped it go down some. But the mouth thing sprung up suddenly yesterday morning. This ENT doesn't seem to give a shit and yes, actually told me I was too healthy for him and dismissed me.

Guess since I'm not interesting enough or not dying of cancer, I'm not worthy of decent treatment? Yeah, fuck that dude. Well, for now I got some dry mouth gel, I'm going to make a much better effort to eat, exercise and otherwise live healthier and see where that takes me before I start doctor hopping again because clearly they don't give a shit.

Oh no, it's quite the opposite. His office is in the cancer center so he must have been soooo bummed that a brain tumor or something didn't show up on the CT scan. So pfft, why bother treating any of the rest of it, right? He gave me no help for the mouth symptoms. No clue where to go with that

Your dentist may actually be able to help with the mouth issues. Mine checks all the soft tissues, under the tongue, etc. when I have my regular check-up.

Yeah but I don't have a brain tumor so diva doc didn't want to waste any more of his oh so important time to take care of ANY of my medical needs.

If the stuff with my mouth doesn't resolve in a couple of days, I'll try to get into my GPs office. As far as the migraine theory, I'm going to try some relaxation techniques and stuff and healthier living and if that doesn't do the trick, I'll find a neuro that does botox for migraines instead of meds.

Having to keep looking for Dr's that give a shit, you shouldn't have to be doing that and I am sorry it is necessary. My mind boggles at this arrogance of this man.

The mouth things, I don't know what that could be - the redness of the membranes and lump and the ENT dismissed it? 0_o Geez. Hope you can get some relief from the problems soon. Does not sound pleasant to be dealing w. on a daily basis. I've tried several of the dry mouth rinses and they do work. I think the bottle if ACT brand at the moment. Before going out I swish it so I need to drink less when I'm out of the house. One thing I used in the past when I had worse dry mouth was a product called Salivart. It is a spray that tastes like saliva, seriously - I'd keep the spray can in my purse. I have to admit the taste was not bad but off-putting at times - I guess we expect minty or something instead of natural. I googled and it says still sold OTC, but Amazon does not carry the spray but they do have a mouth rinse under the Salivart name.

Wow! That is unreal! I've never had a doctor tell me I was too healthy to be there. It would have been hard for me to not want to knee him somewhere that would make him keel over....
