Been a rough winter already

I sometimes hate it when I’m right. I should have gotten my car battery changed on Friday when he mentioned it was the seven year old factory original but instead I went to work and called to make an appointment for today. I knew it was going to be super frigid this weekend and predicted the car wouldn’t turn over and yep, aside from some feeble rrr rrr noises, there was no chance it was going to start. I ended up having to wait about an hour and a half for roadside service.

Thankfully they were able to just jump it and I drove to the place where I had made my appointment. Even though they made a ticket and knew why I was coming, they didn’t call to have someone bring my battery size until I was there a good 45 minutes. To make matters worse,I couldn’t walk to the nearby Dunkin Donuts or QuickChek safely for coffee or food because along with the piled-up snow, there was a water leak that made walking extremely hazardous.  So I sat in the chilly lobby with my phone tucked near me since the cold was draining its battery too. 

I finally escaped a good time later and $150 poorer and schlepped over to get a snack since I was darned hungry and also went to the grocery to stock up for the week. I’ll be going in early tomorrow because there’s an ominous forecast of possible snow/freezing rain mix later tomorrow afternoon which I am neither walking nor driving in.

Sorry you had to spend so much of your time waiting around, but I'm glad you got the battery.

Yes, I’ve had kitty snuggles, have assured my parents all is well and am prepping food for the week. I have a baked potato craving that I’ll be satisfying tonight
