I swear I've had the longest era of perimenopause. I've had hot flashes on and off for quite a few years, worse and worse cycles, insomnia, mood swings, the lot. So not we're on to the thing where I'm starting to skip cycles. Great, eh? Yeah, clearly NOT.
Because NOW I have this damned thing where I'll just have random menstrual cramps and I've had this on and off for weeks now. Yeah, evidently THAT is a thing I didn't know existed. I hadn't had an actual cycle for two months and guess what? The night before I'm going to a concert tomorrow, it seems that it's shown up again. Hell if I know how it'll be this round. The last one SUCKED.
I am SO FUCKING DONE with this nonsense. Just go away and STAY away already.
Yeah, I know I need to find a new gyno. I also need to do the thing of sending my poo off and other fun old people stuff.
Other non-uterine bits: Oh and after having a summer with drought warnings, it's going to rain all day tomorrow and have flood warnings. It's not an outdoor concert but we'd looked forward to meeting with other fans because at kpop concerts, people make and give away little bits and bobs. Hopefully things go ok tomorrow evening. Emily has two family members tag team babysitting her mom (her dementia is getting so bad, now they're meeting with lawyers and hopefully will soon have court dates about living trust and such).
