Welllll crap.
Nov. 1st, 2022 12:50 pmDan that came up to show off his costume yesterday just sent us this email:
Hi all,
Sorry to bring potentially bad news. I was asymptomatic the day I was at work (felt normal the entire time). Last night I got what mimicked lesser-strength version of the vaccine + boosters. I took an at home test today, Tuesday around Noon and it showed a line on C and T really fast. I'm pretty sure I did it right.
Please keep yourselves safe and prepare.
It figures. The ONE time in the last few years that I had someone in my office chit chatting and unmasked. So we'll see how the next week plays out.

Date: 2022-11-01 06:12 pm (UTC)Unfortunately, you now have to stay home for a couple weeks to protect your fellow workers and will have to email boss lady with an attachment listing what you have already done for HER project, when you did it, and an apology that you can't help her more because you are so sick *cough, cough*. When life gives you lemons; squirt the juice in someone's face.

Date: 2022-11-01 06:20 pm (UTC)Yeah, our University seems not to care anymore. If I don't test positive, they'll want me in. If I get it, I might get lucky to get her to agree for me not to be in for a few days. The temptation to be "sick" even if I don't get very sick is strong, though.
Heh, I just sent her what I came up with for her unreasonable request already that she wanted by 4pm. Because I EXCEED deadlines.
