So I get an email from Labcorp that my results are ready. Oh, so the doc sent them there. Let's read the carnage...
...uh wait...what? It doesn't show ANY significant bacteria? Soooo...I'm taking antibiotics for no reason?
Well, I'll finish them unless the doc says that they're not worth bothering with but if it's IC instead, then I need to start doing an elimination thingamabob. I already suspect that carbonated beverages got to go again. I started mixing orange flavored fizzy Airborne with vanilla seltzer to help the immune system. I was doing this once a day for several weeks and I stopped just recently since I was having issues with my stomach swelling again.
The most common triggers are citrus fruits (which I've been having a few lately), tomatoes (been having more of those too), coffee (I really only drink that once a day, twice now and then) and chocolate (I have this semi-regularly). I don't have a problem cutting out eating citrus or drinking citrus juice. I do have a serving of leftover vegan lasagna and a serving of vegan stuffed cabbage, both with tomato, in the fridge. As long as I don't do both in a week, I can finish those off.
If the issue with coffee is not the coffee itself but the caffeine, I can get some of the cold brew bags in decaf. I like to drink coffee for the taste in the morning more than the caffeine hit.
It also says spicy food and lately I've been loving spicier food but since I don't get any indigestion or other negative effects from those, I won't worry about those for now. Alcohol is another trigger but I don't really drink. Very very rarely.
Considering the bladder irritation issues have been going on very recently and it corresponds with when I started drinking fizzy stuff, I think that's one pretty certain correlation. Buh BYE fizzy stuff.
