Heads up on the cat food front

PSA: I'm ordering some food for the kitties and I'm noticing some outages again over multiple brands. Keep an eye out on your regular cat foods just in case we're having another round of shortages. There was some buzz back when China let their Covid policies loosen that there would likely be supply chain issues and this might be part of it. From TikTok, there's a serious issue with a lot of different prescription meds (especially MH/ADHD ones).

Still having issues with constipated kitties. The boy struggled just to get a little out late last night, despite me adding pumpkin and extra water to their food. I'm going back and ordering some alternate brand foods that were semi-popular when we were waiting for JonJon to get his thyroid treatment. I'm hoping by incorporating some brands that are recently familiar, I can ferret out which of the current food or treats are causing the kids' poo (or lack thereof) issues.

I've tried that one before and neither one of my picky kids would eat them. I wish they would! I have also tried the PetNaturals hairball treats and they liked them at first and then turned up their noses. Fussy! Argh!
I use this and I think I'll just add it daily until it starts to kick in instead of just intermittently.

Also, when I give them the squishy treats (which they prefer squeezed into a bowl rather than licking from the tube), I've put a few drops of olive oil below it which helped for a while.

Bonnie sometimes turns up her nose at the pumpkin treats. They were recommended by my vet but yes, cats are picky! And she doesn't drink so I mix all of her food with water(also recommended by my vet because she is afraid of the fountain). These look interesting!

Same! I've gone through SO many fountains and yeah, doesn't help. I just keep the two water bowls cleaned and filled and occasionally they decide they need some extra and I hear some slurping.

I do the same thing and mix water (especially a bit of hot water which helps while the girl is congested to smell it better) into their pate.

I mix about 1/3 of the pumpkin pouch at a time in with a small can of cat food and they don't mind it at all.
