- Early this morning JuneBug finally had a regular litterbox "deposit" which I hope means her tummy is back to rights. She's all about the WANT SNACK ALL THE TIME, though. Girl, I know your butt is sad looking but you'll get that booty back soon enough

- Faculty are getting rejection messages from the USDA on results reports submitted back in late January that are inadequate. While this will mean work for me in the short term, prodding them to give more information, editing it in and resubmitting, I am SO GLAD that they've started doing this. Now I'll have leverage when it comes to reporting time in fall. Too many of them give me nothing to work with because they know there aren't consequences. Now there are. GOOD.

- Not menopausal yet. Was good to skip a month, though, and hopefully it's not too bad this round. I'm so done with the fuss.

- The smoke from the fires in Canada have made its way here and today is a poor air quality day. Tree and grass pollen are also high so the windows are shut and the air cleaners are running

I'm glad Junie is starting to recover. It's so difficult when our furbabies are ill.

Well, ain't those faculty rejections a kick in the pants? You TRIED to tell them.

Fletcher is also demanding all the food after yesterday's surgery. LOL! I wonder if it is a side effect from anesthesia? Anyway, glad Junie is doing so much better.

I thought you might get a kick out of the rejections! And LOL on former boss (what is with her still hanging around? She needs to go out and enjoy retirement!)

Awww, I didn't realize she had gotten so thin. Sending her weight gaining vibes. So why are you worried if she wants to eat so much right now? She's just trying to regain her health!

Ah, I see. Fletcher has a similar problem, only on a slightly larger scale. He went from 11 pounds to 7 pounds. Part of it was the bad teeth and part of it is he gobbles and then upchucks. So right now he's getting very small portions as frequently as he wants, mushed up to be soft and he has to lick the food out of the bowl. That seems to help him keep it down.

I'm very leery of dental work on pets, as the anesthesia scares me. I had two dogs who died shortly after dental work so I know it is pretty risky. But in Fletcher's case he had infections which, if untreated, could lead to heart problems. And he wasn't responding to antibiotics.

LOL, what is it about male cats being gobble and barf eaters? Another friend's male cat is the same way, as is Fletcher.
