The fancy cookies can't possibly be displayed on a paper plate so I got my stepstool out and retrieved this display plate and scrubbed it nice and clean


I mean if you're going to one-up someone's hospitality, may as well go all the way.

Though since there's no sink to do dishes besides the crappy one in the janitor's closet, eating plates and cups are paper/plastic. I'm not hefting my whole tea set to work and then back home

uh...this is beautiful. My grandmother had a set of glass this colour (and it lived in my cupboards until I had to downsize) and most certainly had this place. You really are *just that extra* too bad the place where you work doesn't appreciate that!

I have another plate/tray in a similar color but it doesn't have the pretty handle. I also have a couple fancy ones in a more yellow/orange color and some other teacups and saucers in the depression glass style in the orange/yellow color and some in green. I keep them all on the top of the kitchen cabinets and they hardly ever get used but this seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up ;)
