The anxiety is gradually getting less often which is good since my former therapist is full up and not taking new appointments. I don't want to mess with one of their other folks. I did create an account with the new mental health thing the University sent out so I just need to pick one of the therapists that they suggest and I can do telehealth.

I'm so disappointed today. After being told "a few more days" on Monday, I had high hopes that today would be the day that I'd finally not have to do the daily wound care and we'd put on the steri strips. But then I looked at the bandage right before the doctor came in and knew that wasn't going to happen. I was coughing a good bit today and I think that made things less than ideal. She did say that it's at least good that the wound does bleed some since that means blood and oxygen are getting to the area for healing but I was just so discouraged. We're going to try again on Tuesday.

In the meantime, Emily has some Fibracol that she had from when she was helping her dad. It has collagen to help bind things and an alginate to help dry things out. The first time we used it, it did help some but it also was still draining too much. The day before yesterday we used it and it really helped so if we use it this weekend, I'm hoping upon hope that Tuesday we can stop trying to push gauze in there.

Even when I get to the next steps, I'm going to move as carefully as possible until it's solidly healed. Oh and looks like I have another lump thingie. She said it was fine and it was "edema" but looks like the correct term is a "seroma" and I need to just be patient and keep an eye on that.

Also, I am going to get back to eating healthy with less temptation and supplementing with more vitamin C. I need to heal already.

I'm sorry this is turning into such a medical saga. I was hoping the hysterectomy would be a good thing for you. Sending healing vibes.

Well, at least Emily is getting plenty of practice for Thanksgiving; stuffing a turkey. ;()

(Sorry, just couldn't help myself. Don't really think you are a turkey.)
