I'm expecting the "few more days" thing again today. On Tuesday, I was given the option as to whether I wanted to change to steri strips but she was hoping I'd be ok with more time to avoid complications. It was the first time that I was given the choice so I thought that was progress. However, when Emily was changing the gauze last night, there was a not insignificant amount of red, but then again, the seroma that's near the gap seemed a bit flatter so maybe it was from that.

Not getting the hopes up today and yeah, it's taking way too long to heal but hopefully no steps backwards.

Also on the way home, my low tire light came on my car though I didn't notice my tires being off. We're going to head over to the gas station in a little bit to check the pressure and hopefully they're just a little low and not a sign of one having issues.

I finally got a call from Elaine last night, six weeks after my surgery. Naturally she talked about herself a lot and kept doing the "is there anything I can do to help" thing. Girl, it's been SIX weeks. Oh and evidently she and Josh were hoping that I could go to lunch with them sometime. Well, if I get things sorted out and the car is ok, by that time I may be back at work at the beginning of December. I'd say "fingers crossed" but they're starting to cramp.

In non health stuff, I want a couple of cold weather dresses. I've been more comfy in dresses for a while and normally I'd look at Lands End but lately the quality has been off. I got a pair of pants that shrunk too much in length and I have a super short 25 inch inseam. I also got a jacket that I hoped was heavier but I need one that'll be sturdy for winter. Has anyone gotten stuff from Vermont Country Store? Other suggestions? Need plus size since it'll still be a while before my gut shrinks any.

What makes a dress a cold weather dress? I am woefully ignorant!

Ah gotcha!

I just know that as soon as I get remotely near "winter" - or what passes for it here - I want LONG pants (leggings) and socks that go up to my calf to make sure that there is NO EXPOSED SKIN at that end :D

It looks nice - I haven't ever shopped there though, so I can't offer any clues on that end!

LL Bean https://www.llbean.com/ has some midi dresses. Flannel, corduroy, denim. They go from X-Small to 3X. They also have warm slacks, thermal underwear, and sweaters. I have only bought sweaters and boots, but they take returns with no fuss and their stuff lasts forever.

Given my height all dresses are midi dresses unless I can get very mini length and then they come to just below my knee. I like the look of the one at Vermont Country Store.
