missdianeThe wound care clinic folks were nice on Monday and we're using the fibercol stuff, though this time it's not expired lol. Seems that does make a difference since last night when Emily was doing maintenance on it, it's starting to close! Hell, had we known, we'd have ordered new fibercol a couple of weeks ago. Fingers crossed that at the next appointment on Monday, we're going to finally be about done. I'm not going to get too excited until the pronouncement is made by the wound experts.
Yesterday afternoon I had my quarterly appointment with my GP. It was all going well enough until we'd decided that I was getting the flu shot and she headed off. The nurse came in and gave me a swab to check me for flu. Huh? Ok, I guess. She took the tester thing with her and I waited...and waited...and decided to see about making a Labcorp appointment while I waited. The soonest appointment at any location in a reasonable area was December 1. Thankfully it's just routine stuff. I looked at my emails for the confirmation and saw an email from University Radiology with an appointment. Huh? I opened it and it was for an ultrasound of my carotid artery. Double huh? When the nurse FINALLY popped in and was confused and confirmed that I was getting the flu vaccine, I pointed out the strange email and she nabbed my doctor.
My doctor claims that it wasn't anything done by her but to be honest, I've a feeling she still had me up on her computer screen during her next patient. It just happens that University Radiology is on the first floor so I stopped there on my way out to see if it was scheduled and cancel it since it wasn't for me. I should've waited until I got home since they didn't tell me who ordered it. Oh well.
Then late last night I got an email with "The order you or your healthcare provider placed with CHC Solutions, Inc. has been processed." which I knew nothing about. When I go to the company site, I'm guessing that the Wound Care center is sending us supplies? Didn't get any contact from them and the order arrives today so I guess we'll see! I'm not going to call a bunch of people today and will just see what stuff I got. But weird.
Another weird thing this morning. I had an order for a few thing from FreshDirect which had a window of 8-10. Usually you get a more specific time when it's closer but nope, stuck at 8-10 even after 8:30. I was in the living room and saw someone go jogging back to a white suv and assumed it was some off brand delivery and looked out and...the FreshDirect order was sitting on the porch? Where's the truck? Also, it's now 9:37 and it still claims that my order is out for delivery.
Oooook then? Weirdness.
